We grew things; We killed things

 Just wanted to give ourselves some props for managing to grow things this year despite the heat the smoke. Our little garden grew tomatoes, beans, and strawberries....plus some cool climbing weeds. 

And I totally thought I suffocated the bulbs Penny gave me in June but magically most of them survived and this month popped up into beautiful red flowers!

But...in an effort to fully disclose our luck, we also killed a bunch of things. Including: our beans, our jalapenos, our tomato plant and (for the second year running) managed to drown the plants up front. Seriously...what is up with that?? Here's to a second chance in 2022.
