School started. Weird half days and then Labor day and finally fully week. I'm sort of in Heaven with my quiet house all day and kids who come home with hilarious stories of Tunnel Tag in gym and naked mole rats as recess. This is what we live for.
Char has settled into Kindergarten quite nicely. She didn't want to walk in by herself but finally did like a brave little solider. She loves her new class and especially her bestie Vivian from Teacher Locke's class.
Clark is pretty hot stuff now in the ancillary building with all the 3rd graders. He's reading amazing now and learning so much in piano. It's fun to see him be social with friends. We went to the first football game of the season at EV High School. Clark watched for a while until he ran into Stryker and then it was all games with the boys.
Char joined in the roll down the hill portion of the night:)
And then wanted to sit in the fire truck with the firefighters. Very cool night!
We spent a whole weekend putting up our new IKEA entertainment center (which has only taken 18 months to get all the pieces but whatever). We messed with Aunt Kristina and sent her this photo of the "finished" result. She commented that is was very minimalist (bwaahahaha)
Thankfully we have better taste and this is the actual end product. It's so amazing. We love it!
Most afternoons we play at the park before taking Timmy home and then it's a 50/50 toss up that Charlotte will end up like this somewhere in the house. This is on the floor of her room with a little maid laying above her. Clark said they were playing and he watched her sit down and then just close her eyes and slump over. Our poor girl is being demolished by Kindergarten.
Our other life passions currently include scootering in the front for hours on end. Also learning to use the microwave while wearing safety helmets.
We are also very much in love with our spanky new blue cushion chair which Clark opens up to essentially a big dog bed for the kids to enjoy. Great place for one of those ever common naps:)
