Yup, my family requires a two parter. This year we had the reunion in Pennsylvania. We stayed in a house that normally holds 15 but, hey, what's eight or nine extra kids? It was a great, tiring week with fun all around. Monday we got settled it and shopped for the mass of adults/kids and then came back and played kickball (not a good idea in sandals) and I almost lost a toenail from one of the nephews (way to not take no for an answer Ian!). Tuesday all the non-pregger adults took the kids whitewater rafting. It was a great experience for them and a favorite for our family. It rained (down poured) two or three times but, hey, what's a little bit more water? We chased down the sun eventually and built up our muscles paddling a half deflated raft. That night we had a rip roaring campfire courtesy the boys and their matches and the giant pile of logs begging to be burned. We sang songs and ate smores. I am working on uploading some priceless videos from the campfire (yes, family, it's important to remember that the Gailan camera can now record. You might want to keep that in mind). But for now you are spared and here are just some good old pics.
