Clark Photo Dump

Just doing my monthly Clark photo dump:) Here's what our strange little man got up to in October.

Climbing, yeah it's a thing. He's trying to get onto everything...and then fall off of everything. Its pretty funny when he gets up, gets stuck and then whines until we save him.

This is a Dad photo. Dana woke him up from a nap one morning and was greeted by this strange wardrobe malfunction.

Cousins came down one day and Clark and Anderson both got the highchair treatment. It's funny because I took a video of Clark swinging his arms trying to get Anderson to copy him - which Anderson did and then they would both laugh.

Did I mention the climbing thing? Yes, I meant on everything.

Doesn't this look like a pinterest picture? Lorraine, Clark's babysitter, took this and I think it's so cute with their little hands eating lunch.

Oh we even climb in stuff now, not just on top. Diversifying.

Laundry day so Clark ended up in these funny silkish bottoms. It was hard to catch him, I tell you what.

My favorite! He looooves books and sometimes he'll just go off by himself and flip the pages. We once caught him on the cough squished back in the cushions just looking at the photos.

OK, maybe this is my favorite. The photo doesn't capture it but if you get down on the floor with Clark and start smacking this blue ball he'll run over and just go bananas squealing and smacking it too. This can go on for ten minutes, I kid you not.

One last climbing one. Sometimes he gets stuck. Sometimes he just gets cute:)

Hallow - WEEE- N

The Gailans LOVE Halloween just as an FYI. It's the official kick off to the holiday season plus lots of food is involved so yaaaay!! This year we hosted the 11th annual Gailan Carve off with some 1st:

- 1st sibling to be involved in the carve off (Kristina)
-1st time our bash almost got cancelled because of some major flu going around (we started with 30 people and ended up having only 12. It was one sad text stream of cancellations)

But the party always goes on! Kristina and Fred came down with their crew and the older kids watched a movie in the study (on Uncle Dana's shmancy new tiny flat screen) while the babies slept (eventually...sigh) and the adults carved it up. It ended up being us, the Washburns, the other Gailans, McCrackens, Farmers, and Churchs. A good group and we got some outstanding pumpkins from it.

Matt and Kristin's is the announcement at the far left...baby girl in February:) Ours is the sad face in the back. You can't see it but Dave did a sweet Seahawk carve.


Halloween was a whole week affair. This is the first year I've attempted to live up to the "Mom" mantra and make my kid a costume. We decided to go with a theme: shark attack victim:) Dana made an excellent victim and Clark made one cute shark. I was the lame one in my lifeguard sweatshirt (found for free at the clothing exchange!) It was actually pretty easy to hot glue the felt on the shark and I felt very crafty when it was done. Clark was not the biggest fan of the teeth touching his cheeks but we managed. Our ward hosts a trunk or treat so Wednesday we packed up and headed into the cold and rain. Clark was not a fan at first, clinging to our arms, but eventually he warmed up.





And then because one day wasn't enough we got all dressed up again on Halloween for the Gailan clan to come over and decorate some gluten free sugar cookies (which were delicious!). Clark loved showing off for the fam. Halloween night was pretty lame to be honest. Poor Dana had to study for a huge exam on Monday so he spent all night locked in the study pouring over Anatomy books. I relaxed and gave away our meager candy to the few soaked trick or treaters braving the freezing rain and wind. Clark went to bed. Still...a great Halloween!!
