Swim lessons were a four week crush at the Chesterly YMCA. No surprise that Charlotte dove right in on the first day, but Clark was actually quite excited and willing to try everything his teacher threw at them.
Clark's new skills include: floating on his back, holding his breath for 10 seconds under water, and paddle kicking. *As a result of our special bonus time at the fun zone, he also now goes down the big fast waterslide.
Miss Charlotte's skills now include: jumping off the side, front kicks, recovering pool floaties, and sitting semi-still on the steps even though all she wants to do is dive straight into the water. Yay for safety! She spends her extra bonus time creeping slooooowy towards the deep end while Mom watches with narrowed eyes.
And just for funsies we went up to Ellensburg this week for more water fun at Irene Reinhart lake. It was windy. It was a bit brisk. But the Blairs brought a big 'ol floatie so we were happy.
