Spokane Trip 2.0

It seems like whenever Dana and I need a getaway, Spokane is our spot. We love the outdoors, love the food, and love how close it is. This year we needed some time away so Matt and Kristen (angels that they are!!) offered to watch Mr. Clark for the weekend. I missed him so much but it was heaven to be just the two of us.

We got the most painful massages ever on Friday (not kidding, Dana said he was crying) but our backs now feel great. My lady looked about 60 and had a cracked rib and she still almost killed me. Apparently, we are weenies. We saw Guardians of the Galaxy 2 which was awesome. Ate yummy spaghetti at Carussos, had nice relaxing mornings, walked around some neighborhoods to check out homes and went on a very big hike in Dishman park. We also ate at my favorite restaurant, the Flying Goat, where I got my pear pizza yet again. And we successfully failed finding pie on another Gailan trip. Sigh.

Oh, and we walked through this botanical garden since it was a little misty outside. Yes, that is a pink pineapple.

While we were doing all that, Mr. Clark was hanging with the cuz. He and Stella are so adorable together. They went to the splash pad both days, ate out, watched some movies, and even had a family nap. Now that's one awesome Aunt and Uncle! We picked him up Saturday, went out for BBQ, and then headed home to crash.
Sunday was Father's Day. We got Dana a card and made breakfast. It was pretty low key. We subbed in Nursery since so many med students were gone and I caught this pic of Clark doing the "ball" song.

In other news, our Presidency just keeps changing. The McCrackens are moving (SOB!) which means our president had to be released. Sheila Smart is the new President and Rachel Smith and I both stayed but we are now down to 3 of the original ladies. It's so sad to see things change but good to know we'll all stay in touch and that the Lord has a hand in guiding our lives down the right path. It keeps one sane when friends move away!
