2nd year in a row, we escaped Yakima to hunt up a cabin with the other Gailans. It's sort of our favorite way to end the year. We watched movies. Sat by the fire (because the downstairs was FREEZING). Stayed up late laughing. Soaked in the hot tub. And of course, found a sledding hill.
Yeah, the snow was kind of a bummer this year. As in, there was NO snow. But we found a thin patch and managed to make the best of it. Dana even manged to slip off his sled a few times:)Our second day we ventured into Downtown Cle Elum and found a creepy antique store to visit and then struck out at Stella's coffee shop and the library so Aunt Kristen saved the day by suggesting this lovely coffee shop that has kids games:) Don't let their faces throw you off, our kids loved it.
And we spent the rest of the day playing a nailbiting game of Jenga, more puzzling, eating and just laying about. Oh, and Clark and Uncle Matt really got into it on the PS4 Madden Football.
