Almost Summer

 Much anticipated summer is almost here (and already packed) but before we dive into swimming and camping and cousin time, here's what we did the first half of June. 

Posing with our newly found red sunglasses at Lowes. Probably our 100th trip to Lowe's for backyard supplies so far this year. 

We rearranged closets and hey found the forts again. I love old toys that become exciting and new. 

Last Mom temple trip day. Awww...I love these ladies. 

Rocks. We have a big pile of them in our side yard and for some reason our children are fascinated by plain old, boring rocks. One night Dana worked late and we'd all just had a day so after dinner all I could muster in parental involvement was sitting at the table while they spent a full hour bringing me an assortment of rocks. As Empress of Rockville, I slowly whittled it down to the four finalists and then the winner of all rocks. We got a little weird at the end:)

Char took birthday donuts June 2nd and got to go see firetrucks at the Moxee fire station. Clark came home with this funny Oscars trophy for some reason. 

The YW made ties and dipped chocolates for the Fathers. 

Charlotte lost a tooth!! This probably deserves it's own post but meh we are squeezing it in here. One night Dana just got tired of her little toothing hanging in there so we kinda sorta forced it out. Small tears but mostly excitement once it was gone. Now that Clark is in on the "take", he got to help out the Tooth Fairy by delivering a whole dollar. 

And then a week later...bam! Another one just jumped out. She wiggled it until it fell right into her hand and then she brought it so excitedly to Clark so he could wash it. 

Popsicles in the Park was a hit and quite the easy birthday party the last week of school. Seriously, so easy. 

Luau day is always a hit. Charlotte had this cute hairbun for a whole 30 minutes before prancing out of the car at a full speed run which destroyed it. Oh well. Cute photo. 

Baseball camp. Cheyenne randomly fonud this free camp at the Pippins stadium last Saturday so we signed both kiddos up and then got to run bases, pitch and catch with real live minor league players. Clark was in heaven. Charlotte mostly played in the dirt:) We, meanwhile, had a delicious brunch at Old Town Station while my tire was having a slow leak patched...for the 2nd time this week (yeah...it's getting old). When we came back we got to watch Clark run the bases and Charlotte was bored enough to just wander around the stadium and eat all our snacks. 

Not pictured is the Saturday morning we went up to Ensign Ranch to help with cleanup. The kids were wary at first (especially while we were lost for 30 minutes) but really helpful once we met up with the group. They found huge sticks and helped pull the tarp and really just enjoyed being outside. 

And the last one is Clark after field day on the last full day of school. Yup. This is how we feel about June so far.
