Monday we zipped through security to get onto the cruise ship. We swam in the big adult hot tubs, found the ice cream, ate a few hot dogs before dinner and then Clark and I watched the land float away up on the deck while Dad and Char took a rest.
We had out first bumpy dinner in the main dining room and thankfully got moved from that table for the rest of the cruise (the sickies were very thankful). Dinner every night was like de ja vu for our kids. Sit down, order Mac and Cheese with fruit (which only dad ate) and ice cream, then get screen time. Worked like a charm. One night the crew came out and did a fun dance which spiced up the night:) We loved getting fancy and ordering two desserts and honestly this is when we did most of our chatting as adults. It was wonderful and the kids honestly were fantastic for the most part -- except when an unnamed child had to poop mid meal and refused to go in the bathroom on floor 3 so Dad had to run them up to our room on deck 9. Way to go super Dad!
