This is Halloween!

2021 really blew it out of the water with Halloween happenings. So here they are, in backwards order...thanks blogger:(

Moxee Hoe down! The funnest night of the year in terms of school. This year all inflatables and games were outside which made for a fun/short night for the Gailans.

The hayride was the best part, including a frolic through the pumpkin patch for the biggest pumpkin and then a haunted house for Mom and Clark while Dad bravely stayed outside with the baby.

On the Friday before Halloween, Mr. Clark got to wear his awesome Patrick Mahomes Chiefs costume to school and then of course we had to pose with the besties: Joe, Marcus, Ben and Stephen.
Charlotte got a pose in too with Katie!
Pre-Halloween photo shoot. One of many. Charlotte is seriously in love with having her picture taken:)
Charlotte got to wear her costume on Thursday to Teacher Locke's preschool. She's a pretty cute lady bug!
Then that night we had the most awesome Moxee halloween trunk or treat party ever. Seriously, it may go down in history as the best. Mostly because...giant inflatables in the gym! Can't beat that.
And the candy getting part was pretty spectacular too. It's nice to finally have kids who get the drill and can hold their own buckets.
Clark and Dad squaring off. And yes, Dana's head CAN fit in Clark's child sized helmet. Thank you for noticing!

More costume photos. Why is Charlotte a baby shark now when she was a lady bug earlier? Because she is, okay. Mom wasn't sure her baby shark costume would work at school so we got a $3 ladybug getup at the dollar store and she got to wear both. So there. Also, because Mom is a pushover who was just gonna get the lady bug headband but then Miss Char saw the skirt and then of course the wings and so, yeah, she has two costumes and we are rolling with it.
And finally....the Gailan Carve Off, year 17! After missing 2020 and the sad turnout of 2019, we had some excellent offerings this year. Pandemic was the theme and boy did they show up. I believe my favorite has to be the "Karen" with a mask:)
And just so you can see how awesomely I decorated this year. Ahhh...gotta love Halloween.
Since the night was on a Sunday, we opted to not trick or treat. Instead, wolfing down pizza and cookies and watching Paranormal after a bubble bath (for the kids) and then spending an hour rushing back and forth from the couch screaming as we handed out candy to all the cute kiddos. Probably the best night of the kids life so far.
