Summer 2021 - Week One - Park Time & Cabin Camping

Well...we spent most of the first week of summer vacation at the park. Saying goodbye to the Workmans, huddling under the tree for shade, sharing stickers and popsicles with friends. After the park we would head home for books, educational electronics and some worksheets. After two days of tears, we finally got the routine down.

At the end of the week, we got to hang out with some seriously cool families (Reirsens, Kearns, Pyfers, and Churchs) up at Camp Z for our first ever family cabin camping. Somehow we lucked into the only cabin with a fan, which came in handy since it was SO HOT! The kiddos slept on the a pull out bed together and did amazing. Dana and I claimed the bunkbeds:)

Clark was in heaven with Jake, Sam and all the big boys around to follow. And Charlotte, Kellen and Annie spent most of the night terrorizing the older kids or being doted over by the girls. They enjoyed s'mores and the roaring fire in 100 degree heat.

The next day Dana took them on their first canoe trip and Charlotte rode her first dolphin:)
