Thanksgiving Ritchie Reiersen Style

Covid cases are surging and everyone is back on lockdown so naturally we headed up to Cle Elum on Friday for some cabin time with the Ritchie's and the Reiersen's. It was a quick and amazing weekend filled with scruptious food (who knew Sarah was a whiz with rolos?), wintery walks by piles of snow and game nights galore. Clark and Charlotte especially loved making new forever friends and, in Charlotte's case, discovering Buzz Lightyear action figurines can talk. What???? Clark loves sleeping in the big boy room on his giant bunk bed. I mostly loved girl chat and sitting by the fire all weekend long. It was lovely to escape Yakima just for a day.

As for the more traditional Thanksgiving day, we had the Gailan clan up the weekend before and had so much fun I forgot to take any photos. But the 4 kiddos eating sad dinosaur jello cutouts at the counter was a highlight along with all the catching up. Man, we have a great family.

And the real thanksgiving day was perhaps our favorite with no turkey, only naan. Yes, we had butter chicken and no clean up for thanksgiving. It's the small things in life you really savor.
