In what will undoubtedly become a new Gailan family tradition, we spent an amazing, crazy weekend up in Roslyn with the other Gailan clan. We are now and forever calling it the 1st annual G2 Summit! So it is spoken!
Okay, so we had this plan for show up at Speeyli beach and spend the whole afternoon before checking into our cabin. Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans:) We made it a whole hour of fun stand up paddle boarding and being pushed back into the beach. But then the clouds rolled in and we rolled out.

The rest of the weekend, however, the weather was perfect and the cabin was just the right size. We walked down to the downtown area hunting for ice cream one day with our masked band but unfortunately everything had already closed. No worries - we had plenty of sweets at the cabin.
The kids loved the hot tub on the back deck and after our structural engineers declared the deck sound, the Moms felt better. We had movies on the HUGE TV upstairs, lots of bike practice on the scary ramp, and a fun walk up the twisty road while watching for cars. (And clark had a terrifying for me, fun for him ride back down!)
Sunday was our last day and we tried the beach again. It was packed! Because the weather was perfect. So back out on the water for head stands on the SUP (this is not me, obviously) and fun in the water.
We love living close to these two amazing people and their funny girlies.
