Easy Breezy...Clarky Squeezy

While some parts of the country have been suffering through snow and hail in May (ahem...Chicago what is wrong with you?) the Washingtonians are enjoying our 80s and 90s. It's meant car lunches for Mom and long night walks around the part. It's been a crazy start to the summer, though, with Mom remodeling her office and planning two retirement parties and Dad just trying to survive school, work, and a crazy baby.

Here's how it's going down all month:

Little man is a climbing fool. We've seen it coming for a while now but he really kicked it into high gear this last month. First, he figured out how to get into his high chair all by himself (although remember he no longer wants to eat up there:) Then he went higher on the bar stools and finally just this week Dana came out of the bathroom to find this tiny human sitting on the island drinking a cup of water. AHHHH!!!

When he isn't scaling the house, he's usually sitting on Dana. This is not an exaggeration. They have become quite the cuddle bugs although Dana doesn't always get the most comfortable sitting options but hey it's pretty cute. He will occasionally watch Little Einsteins but usually it's Barney or nothing with this kid.

He gets to come on lots of trips around Yakima with Dana. Sometimes they pop into work and he gets a few good hours of typing in. Aunt Kristen went to Idaho this last week so he got farmed out to friends houses. He spent Monday at the Reiersons and LOVED their trampoline. I know it looks like Rachel is cowering in fear before his might but really she had a blast with him.

There's no denying, however, that Aunt Kristen and Uncle Matt have his heart. The two hours he spends each day with them are probably his favorite. I totally get it. They are waaaaay cooler than us:) I hope he grows up to have such a great relationship with them. PS, the bucket picture is him drenched by the way. He loves being in the sprinkler or anything outdoors with water.

Finally, two random photos. We put in our garden. Dana brought out Clark to try and help so we could have one of those family memories but he ended up eating the dirt and then just wanting to run around smacking the fence. So he got a bath and bed and we finished up just us adults. We're trying tomatoes, jalapenos, cucumbers, squash and herbs this year. I'll keep you posted. Oh, and Clark took his first selfie:)
