A Conferency Easter

It's almost the middle of the month and where did all of April go?! We had a whirlwind of a March repainting Clark's room (from a weird purplish to an awesome blue) and spring cleaning and lots of sunny walks with our spontaneous summer weather:)  Then in April, life got really crazy. Dana started his first pre-req classes for the nursing program. He is currently taking Nutrition and Chem 101. Yes, he feels a bit old and mature in the classes. Yes, he is loving them. Yes, he is that annoying kid who gets his homework done a week in advance and prereads the text book:) We are getting his schedule down with me heading to YVCC three lunch hours a week to walk Clark around while he's in class and then me taking a half day on Tuesday to be home with little man. It's hectic and crazy but will be so worth it.

Last weekend, though, was amazing with Conference and Easter hitting at the same time. We had such a blast hanging in our PJs, eating delicious breakfast goodies, listening to the voices of Prophets and Apostles. I particularly loved Elder Holland's talk. Clark loved just crawling himself around on the floor. He's now a master crawler! And then on Sunday - Easter. We are so grateful for our Savior and his amazing life and gift. Dana and I hope we can make sure Clark understands the true meaning of Easter and that the candy and baskets are just fun extras. This year for his first ever Easter basket we tried to go simple. Candy (which was more for us:)), a round blue ball (Dana felt very awesome buying his son his first ball and you should seriously see Clark get going with it). We also threw in a tiny "Clark" Superman Itty Bitty which is the cutest!! I may never let him play with it because it's too cute. Lastly, the book "Am I small" which is written in English and Marshallese. Not gonna lie - the book is a little weird but it's cute that it is in both languages.

Clark loved the basket but really the hit was the plastic grass, of course.

On Saturday we did the Gailan Easter. It was a blustery spring day but Clark got to see all his Saylor cousins and was, of course, the favorite person in the room. Meredith made the famous bunny cake this year and did a fabulous job. Oh! And we had another fun visitor. Aunt Kristina spent all week with us while she was scouting houses in Ellensburg. The whole process was a bit of a trial for her but we think she found a great one and we are so excited for the Washburns to become Washingtonians in July.
