10th Annual Gailan Carve Off

I don't know why this feels like such a big milestone--maybe because 10 is a decade and that just feels sooooo long, but it came and it went. The 10th annual Gailan Carve off. I still remember our first one way back in King Henry with our postage stamp sized carpet which 10 people squeezed around to carve little pumpkins. We've come a long way since then and now get to celebrate the occasion with Clark. Or at least, we will, once he can stay awake past 6:30:)

We had the following families; McCrackens, Kearns, Grows, Beddards, Hammonds, Churchs, Hartmans, Mays, Matt and Kristen Gailans, and of course, us. It was such a fun night. We had delicious treats, sucker ghosts for the absent children, and for the first time ever: prizes! Spookiest (Hammonds for Cat and Mouse), Most Intricate (Beddards for Haunted House) and Funniest (Grows for Witch Flies into Tree). Dana went back to our traditional roots for ours. Sadly, we meant to get it at a pumpkin patch but got stormed out and had to buy a walmart one that is too small to fit Clark inside of. Dang it! Guess someday little sister will have to fulfill my dream of putting a baby in a pumpkin. Thanks everyone for coming and helping us make 10 years the best!
