Yes, he's a shorty and a skinny:) Other landmarks: He can now roll from tummy to back whenever he wants (which isn't often) and he's scared us a few times almost flipping from the back to the front when wrapped. He has been upgraded to supermax burrito swaddle because of his awesome strength but he is still sleeping in the swing because we're super lazy and he loves it and sleeps really well. If it ain't broke, don't fix it - at least not until we have to.
He has discovered his feet, which are pretty darn cute. He can't get them to his mouth yet but I'm sure that's coming and won't that be lovely. Eww.
Some days he is happy...others, he will judge you with his glare. He loves staring at himself in the mirror however and coos at the new friend he's found.
He loves book time with Dad.
And eating anything he can get his hands on. Sometimes the elephant has to be sacrificed for family happiness.
Oh yes, he has abs of steel.
And strong lungs. He's up to 5 oz of formula at a time and will let you know quite forcefully if he is not done eating. How can you say no to that little face?
His butt is growing too (although weirdly the doctor didn't measure that). He's up to size two in diapers. This was his last little size one.
He's a great sleeper. Even when we take flash pictures just for fun.
A lot of time is spent in the papoose being carried around while we pick berries and do housework. He's pretty cool with it.
Bath time is still a favorite.
And for a while we thought he was cutting a tooth because he was so sad. Turn out, no tooth. Just grumpy baby.
He's had quite a few adventures like the Kitchen family reunion and hikes and fun ward activities.
Plus lots and lots of time with family.
And the hair? Well, we tried flattening it.
He tried pulling it out with his bare hands.
Finally, there was only one thing to do.
Cut it! Yes, he was pretty confused by the clippers but now he's a true little man.
This is our happy, healthy, funny, chatty, weird little man. We sure do love him.
