Dana is officially old! 41 big years of life. We celebrated early on Sunday with pie and singing.
Not exciting enough for a 41st birthday, you say? Never fear. The day before Dana, Clark and Matt set off for a man adventure to watch the UW Huskies destroy the Utah Utes. Clark screamed the whole game and Dana almost came to fist-a-cuffs with the man next to them (he had it coming). They picked up some fudge on the way home when Mr. Clark had to drop a deuce and Dana felt obligated to purchase something from the establishment. But the biggest surprise of the day was somehow discovering these two weirdos were up here as well, rooting for Utah. So they got a quick cameo with Uncle Taylor and Aunt Sarah. Fun little birthday surprise.
A less fun surprise was the call from me saying Charlotte and I had been rear ended on the way home from errands. Just little bumps and scratches but it livened up the day.
And then on Dana's actual birthday, I had my surgery on my right hand. Drove myself down and back and returned home to Dana fixing his own delicious Kevin's meal and entertaining the kids. He really is the best.
We finished off the weekend with painting projects in Dad's old work shirts.
