It's over. Summer has passed us by. But we squeezed all the juice out of that summery fruit that we could.
Randomly showed up at the mall one day to discover a kids craft day! Score! We drew planets and met dinosaurs and got glitter tattoos which fulfilled Clarks 6 months ambition to get a real tattoo.
We discovered Viera's Bakery - an uncle matt suggestion. The donuts are HUGE! And the selection is amazing. We may have been back several times already this summer:)We went to the Irene Reinhart again. And again. We spent the whole of Labor Day weekend party hopping to the Church's for dinner, then the Church's for s'mores, then the McCrackens for family night on the lawn. We hit up the park almost every day in August with friends. We did clothes shopping and backyard games and so so so much more. Which is why Charlotte often looked like this at 5PM.
Dana and Clark got to go fishing with the Barrientos and Reiersens and it was a whole day of fun. Clark looks like a little babushka here but he did great and reeled in some big salmon that is now deliciously stored in our fridge. Yum!
Charlotte spent that day at Kindergarten boot camp. This is the saddest photo of her. You can't really see it but she is softly whimpering while trying to color Pete. This is just as I dropped her off at Mrs. Schutts and she wasn't sure what was going on. Thankfully, her bestie Ezra showed up and then Ruthy (who is in the other class with Miss Simpson) so she cheered up quickly.
Later that same day when I told her to make a funny face to send to Clark. She understood the assignment.
Clark and Dana sent this one back. HAHAHA!!
We started piano this month. It's been a journey. There are NO piano teachers available in Yakima that aren't a crazy long drive or as crazy times of the day. So we are starting online with Hoffman Academy. Clark can already play Hot Cross Buns and he wasted no time teaching Charlotte so they spend most morning playing together and making up silly versions of the song. It's very sweet.
We got her hair cut!!! I wasn't sure how this would turn out but its amazing! So much easier to care for and makes her look like a little teenager in her mint green pants. How is my baby so beautiful already?
We will miss you Summer! But we are ready for the next big adventures.
