Easter 2022

Easter fun Gailan style! In true fashion, 2022 threw us for a loop by having SNOW the week leading up to Easter. Not some sissy snow either, like full on flakes and bitter cold. In April. Grrrr. But we didn't let that stop the festivities.

On Saturday, we ventured out into the bone chilling cold to find the Easter bunny and race for eggs. Charlotte wasn't technically 5 yet but we put her in the big kid heat so she could hunt with Clark and friends. She didn't understand it at first and came back to Dana to see if she was allowed to get another egg. Finally, a very nice helper from the school grabbed her hand and helped her get the hang of it. Since it was so so soooooo cold not many families came out, which meant our kiddos cleaned up!

After the hunt, we went to PNWU for a Mini Medschool event where we learned about becoming a Doctor and got some snacks along the way. Clark was okay being an observer but Charlotte was, of course, right it the thick of it.

While we were out, the Easter bunny dropped off baskets. New photo books. Little bunnies. Gummies, cars, and candy.
On Sunday, the kids indulged me in some photos and we had an amazing, spiritual day attending church and learning about the Savior. It was the culmination of our weeks study about the Passover and the week leading up to the Savior's crucifixion and resurrection. We got to enjoy the day with Matt, Kristen, Stella, Gigi, and Grandpa Sonny and it made us even more grateful that families are forever because of Jesus.
