Filled our December with family and friends. Starting with a harrowing trip over the snowy mountains to see Grandma Sue and the Sayler clan. We had dinner at a seriously cool old mansion (glad Brian got the hookup at work!) and got to catch up with aunt, uncles and cousins we have never seen before. The kids loved playing "tag" through the secret corridors.
We finished off music class and managed to wear our matchy matchy outfits with Lucy and Lilah for the last day. Miss Char had a special musical program at her school so we finally got to see all her classmates and hear them perform the numbers she had been singing on repeat for the last month. Cuteness overload! She had a few days off earlier than Clark and took full advantage during rest time to commandeer his bunk bed.
Another surprise, on the last day of school Clark came home with a laminated Student of the Month award. He was so proud of himself and so are we! Big man is growing up right.
The day after break started, the snow started! Not a whole lot, but enough for a backyard sled ride with Dad and successfully turning the driveway into a mini jump hill. All the moms tried to stave off boredom but Cheyenne leaned into the chaos and invited us to her post workout group indoor snowball fight. I may have needed an anxiety pill afterward but the kids did have fun and we probably got all the little papers vacuumed up. Sure. Probably.
