Thanks and Winterizing

Winter has set in...hard. We are loving it...not. But we are loving all the fun winter times can bring.

Thanksgiving!!
This year we hosted because we are slightly crazy and also halfway between all our guest so we made the most sense:) We hosted the Pasco Gailans, Yakima Gailans, Moxee Gailans and Ellensburg Washburns. We had a great dinner, AMAZING desserts and some serious laughs. Sure, we may have accidentally left the giblets in the turkey when we cooked it and maybe my kid ate absolutely nothing and just threw his plate away without me looking but hey, that's Thanksgiving. Kristina and I kept up the long tradition of Black Friday shopping, including standing in line at Target and fighting off people in the dairy aisle for $2 movies. Holidays!

But the holiday ended and then it was just me and these weirdos trying to survive the gray. So I've been playing with Charlotte's hair. Isn't it ADORABLE!!

I call this one her Triceratops:)

And this is her Diana Ross. Which may have to be her Halloween costume next year if I can rustle up a red sequin dress and high heels. 

 When I took it out later...yeah...that's more my baby:)

 We've done a lot of library time which is awesome but it gives Char a lot of time to watch Annie and Ruthy climb on the chairs. She has, therefore, become very insistent on being allowed to climb on the chairs and tables and play with whatever the big kids get. Oh boy.

Clark is loving preschool and since it's time where he can learn and jump and wiggle outside of Mom's presence, we are big fans too. One day I picked him up and this was how he'd put on his coat. Hey it works, dude. 

Last Sunday we had the most amazing experience at Journey to Bethlehem. It's a live action town that portrays the night of Christ's birth. Very very cool way to start the Christmas season, even if we did have to bundle up the kids like marshmallows and toss Char in the baby backpack. Clark didn't really get it and was terrified of the Roman soldiers and the live animals but he did get close to the manger to see the baby Jesus. Charlotte spent the evening pulling out Dana's gray hairs (not kidding) and being silly. The evening ended with Mom somehow spilling hot chocolate all over herself in the car but otherwise, it was a super neat event!
